That's why it's worth wearing. Strip away who's speaking and it's pure defiance: get up, or stay down forever. Keep the speaker in mind and it turns into something stranger — a question about how a true thing sounds when the wrong person says it, and whether courage is still courage when it's aimed at heaven.
Most people who read it will just see the fire. Some will know exactly where it comes from. Both are the right reaction.
